Max had a birthday... Twice

So we've been lucky enough to arrange both kids' first birthdays around visiting family. We were in Minnesota the first part of Sept, and decided to celebrate Max's birthday while we were around family. We had a fun family dinner -- a seafood boil (anyone interested in more details, just ask).

Here's a pic of Max getting his first taste of crab legs, a favorite in the family. (Shellfish, is that bad for a 1 year old?)

Max digging right in, with no shame.

The family cake we shared. None of us felt like having a piece of Max's cake after he got into it.

"Birthday Prince" feasting

Addie (and a hopeful Lucy) sneaking a snack

Cleaning up was fun, good thing we had the cake outside

Fun times...

Having all that fun in Minnesota, we just couldn't let his actual birthday pass without celebrating, again. We had a couple friends over (Dan and Maralee) and we did it all over again!
Here's Max offering to share.....yum!

Addie thinks Max's parties are all about her. Toddlers are pretty self-centered, ya know.

See, he's now a pro
Sorry for this lame post, I'm pretty lame brained lately. I'll try to make the next a little more interesting.
